Our story began with a love for Japan.

Hui majored in Japanese and lived and worked in Japan for six years, gaining a deep understanding of Japanese culture, language, and the finer details of everyday life. Christoph, through a short-term work stay, experienced Japanese lifestyle firsthand. What was initially planned as a two-month stay gradually became a deep passion for the country, its people, and its traditions. Since then, they have been continually inspired by the quality and culinary culture of Japan.

Together, they traveled across Japan, visiting sake breweries and distilleries, personally experiencing the craftsmanship and spirit embedded in each product. In particular, the Japanese sake brewing tradition, registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, left them deeply impressed.

Christoph is a whisky and brandy enthusiast, captivated by the delicate balance and rich complexity of Japanese spirits. Hui brings her deep understanding and love of Japanese culture into their business, putting heart and passion into everything they do.
