Sake Glass “Ukiyo-e” – Made in Japan
Japanese art – captured in glass.
This exceptional sake glass combines traditional Japanese lacquer artistry with modern glass craftsmanship.
Inside, a detailed Ukiyo-e motif unfolds, inspired by classical works such as those by Hokusai – elegantly embedded within the glass.
Refined with Maki-e (蒔絵)
The decoration is created using the intricate Maki-e technique, one of the most refined forms of Japanese lacquer art.
Fine powders of gold, silver, and colored pigments are carefully applied in multiple layers while the lacquer base is still moist.
This process creates a remarkable depth and brilliance that cannot be achieved through industrial methods.
